Should I Confront My Colleague or Boss About Workplace Drama?
Our team is small, and we’re generally happy. But sometimes, when there are many tasks, things can get stressful. Despite that, we’re very open with our boss about how we’re feeling.
One day, one of my colleagues approached the team and accused us all of being "traitors." Apparently, our boss had spoken to him and said we were fighting (which was something that happened before, just a minor falling out, but we never shared it with anyone).
My colleague didn’t mention my name directly, but I can feel the awkwardness from him toward me. I'm bothered because I never told my boss about our falling out.
Now, I’m thinking about talking to my colleague to ask what exactly was said regarding my name. But I also want to speak with my boss to clarify why my name was mentioned and why this situation is being brought up again, especially when things are fine now between us.
This colleague is very close to me, almost like a brother. I don’t want this kind of tension in the workplace. What should I do? Should I talk to my colleague or my boss?
