Tips for Methotrexate

After a 4 month trial, I've officially failed Plaquenil and will now be starting Methotrexate. I can't lie this one is scaring the shit out of me. I wouldn't consider myself a big drinker & only have a few drinks a month but having ANOTHER thing to be conscious of is discouraging and my jaw about hit the floor when my Dr told me about the hair falling out thing. I will take the folic acid and do everything as prescribed but I'm determined to feel as normal as possible.

Does anyone have any tips for things they do to help themselves feel healthy and well on this medicine? I searched the sub and saw people take it at night to alleviate the nausea which I will try. But how can I keep myself from getting sick? Can improving my diet negate some of the effects the meds have on my immune system? Has masking up in more recent years helped? Will taking collagen supplements help with the hair & nails? I'm excited to possibly not be in pain anymore but fear of the unknown is overwhelming that excitement at the moment
