Doctor Who as an anime

Okay, imagine you're in charge of an anime version of Doctor Who. What anime tropes do you include? What art style do you go for?

For me, I'm picturing something similar to Trigun Stampede, but that might just be because Vash is a very similar character to the Doctor. Another obvious thing is to animate regenerations like magical girl transformation scenes.

Any other thoughts?
