Chat GPT gave me a Malware Link. WTF????
I can't even believe that happened, to be honest, I don't understand why or how that is possible because I'm sure this is a serious security issue.
While generating some songtexts, there was a text with a link at the bottom of the message saying "Click here to try a powerful new GPT!!!". Since it's ChatGPT, I thought they were simply advertising something new, so I clicked on it. My antivirus immediately blocked the website with the message "This is a malware website". I've had my AntiVirus for a while and it usually only shows you a text with "This is a risky website" and it's rare for it to be like "Dude DONT FUCKING CLICK ON THIS!!". Afterwards it immediately also blocked a pop-up from another website but before I closed it I took a look at the Link. It was very obviously a phishing link to a browser extension with odd letters and numbers in it.
Has this happened to anyone else? I didn't even have the online search on and didn't ask anything for it to "confuse" a phishing website for the real one...
